Note: This article was originally published in April, 2014. I received an update recently (early 2019) from Chuck that well attended new classes have been started non stop about twice a year since then with many men involved in teaching and ministering. Another church in a nearby community has begun something similar and I was blessed to be able to share some time with them. Praise God!

NEW Man Purity Class Outline—(see further down on this page for a parallel course provided for hurting women called “Under His Wings”). NEW stands for: Now Engaged in Warfare. We meet on Monday nights at 7pm.
The duration of the class is based on scheduling availability and Mens ministry events. In the past 5 years we have gone as many as 15 weeks and as low as 8 weeks. Typical is 12 or 15 weeks. In June after a 1 month break we are planning on starting up again after our Men’s conference the first Sat in June.
Typical agenda: 7:00 – 7:15
Fellowship 7:15 – 7:30
Worship 7:30 – 8:15
The Word (a devotion related to the topic of the week)
Note: During devotion and chapter review leaders will take men out of class and do one on one ministry with brothers to give an opportunity to setup accountability and to provide biblical guidance. 8:15 – 8:30 The chapter review 8:30 – 9:00 Breakup into groups and discuss book chapter questions. These are lead by ministry leaders Geof as overseer, myself as assistant, 3 additional Men’s ministry leaders who are walking in purity. 9:00 Closing prayer We encourage men to read through the whole book, Overcoming Lust, but have selected 10 chapters for the 10 week session that we are currently doing.

UNDER HIS WINGS (A parallel class for women) The Class Patti teaches through the Women’s ministry is called “Under His Wings”.
The ministry is designed for women who are hurting over sexual sin occurring In the lives of men in there lives. Typically, those women who attend UHW have husbands or sons in the NEW Man class but not always.
